Surface Preparation and Recommended Scheme:
Ferrous materials : The surface must be dry and free of rust, dust, grease, and foreign materials. If a corrosion protection is desired (see requirements), previously apply a coat of IMPRIMACIÓN EPOXI METALES GRIS with a minimum thickness of 80-100 microns of dry paint and after 12 hours apply the ESMALTE POLIURETANO with a minimum thickness of 40-50 microns per coat. A minimum of two finish coats is recommended.
Aluminum, galvanized, light metal alloys and PVC Surfaces free of grease should be washed with ammonia detergent and allowed to dry before painting. In the case of rigid PVC, a pre-sanding to increase the adhesion should be carried out whenever possible, followed by cleaning.
Porous surfaces; plaster, cement: They must be perfectly dry, in both cases at least 30 days must pass from the finishing of the support until the application of the paint. Apply a first coat with a dilution of 10 -15% to close the pore and then apply a second coat with a dilution of 10 -15% to close the pore.
On old paints: Depending on the state of the paint, the surface should be cleaned or the paint should be completely removed. If the nature of the old paint is not known, a test should be carried out to make sure that the POLYURETHANE ESMALT does not lift it when it is applied. Over polyurethane enamels
Observations:
-Mix the two components (Mixture A+B) before diluting the product.
-Do not apply on wet substrates.
-Homogenize very well the content of the container before use by manual or mechanical agitation and once opened during the application.
-From the date of manufacture :
1. Component A has a storage guarantee of 36 months.
2. Component B is sensitive to humidity so it is recommended to keep it in a dry environment with a storage guarantee of 8-12 months.
3. Started containers may be susceptible to minor shelf life.
-Durability after application in excess of 3 years under normal conditions.
-Keep the product in original closed containers while not in use. -Drying and hardening times generally depend on ventilation, ambient temperature, substrate, thicknesses applied and number of coats.
-The best adhesion between coats is obtained when the next coat is applied before the previous one has cured. -Premature exposure to condensation (high humidity, low temperature) can cause a loss of color and gloss.
-Store in places with temperatures between 10-30o C, with adequate ventilation and far from any source of ignition. Avoid exposure of containers to temperatures close to 0ºC or direct exposure to sunlight.
-Do not dilute more than recommended in this Technical Data Sheet.
Safety:
Solvent based product, it is essential to read the label on the container, it is recommended to follow the requirements of national or local legislation on safety at work, hygiene and environment. In general, avoid contact with eyes and skin, use gloves, protective goggles and suitable clothing. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Keep out of reach of children. For more information see the safety data sheet.
