Intercooler sleeve

The volume and pressure of air admitted to the engine are measured for optimum efficiency. In case of leakage, breakage or wear in the turbocharger ducts, the values read by the sensors are distorted and the engine will not receive enough air and therefore will not be able to deliver its full power, which will hinder or prevent the movement of the vehicle.

A supercharged engine is equipped with one or more turbochargers. The engine is fuelled by fuel and air. To improve its efficiency, air is supplied under pressure by the turbocharger and led to the intake manifold through pipes and hoses of different lengths (sleeves). These hoses are mostly rubber hoses reinforced with textile fibres and are subjected to various stresses mainly related to the pressure and temperature of the compressed air, just over one bar and over two bars for larger engines. Engine oil vapours circulating in these ducts attack them over time.

Air Filter Sleeve

When an air intake sleeve is cracked it reduces the life of the engine and should be replaced as soon as the problem is diagnosed.

If one of these sleeves deteriorates, any particles or dirt could enter the intake manifold and go straight into the vehicle's engine. Over time, this could cause the engine's injectors to stall, resulting in the vehicle not running efficiently and not achieving the same performance.

Radiator hose

Radiator circuit hoses are responsible for carrying the coolant from the engine to the radiator in cars, with the aim of stabilising the temperature inside the radiator. They are made of rubber, which makes them more resistant to heat than other elements.

At Veramauto we have a selection of hoses whose improved design allows safer couplings between two elements and minimises the risk of leakage during the conduction of gases between the intercooler and the turbocharger in the case of air circuit hoses, or between the engine.
