The angled clamps make them easy to apply to battery terminals.

It can happen to all of us that, without expecting it, we run out of battery in the car, because it is already exhausted or because of an oversight. The result is the same, you are left without a car. To solve this problem, if you have been foresighted and have a jump starter, you only need the help of someone with another vehicle to start the engine.

Starting a car with a pair of pliers is a very simple operation, but while handling the cables, extreme care must be taken to ensure that the pliers do not touch each other or any metal parts of the bodywork of either car to avoid short circuits.

There is always a positive terminal (marked with a + sign) and a negative terminal (marked with a - sign).

With both cars stationary and both bonnets up, locate the position of the + and - terminals of each battery.

Once this is done, the order of connection is as follows:

Put the red cable clamp on the positive (+) terminal of the donor car.

Connect the other clamp of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the receiving car.

Connect the black cable clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the donor car.

Place the other clamp of the black cable on the negative (-) terminal of the receiver or in some newer cars in the areas provided for grounding.

Start the donor car and keep it slightly accelerated for 30 sec.

Start the receiving car and wait 5 to 10 seconds before removing the clamps.

Disconnect the clamps in the reverse order of their placement (disconnecting the black clamp from the negative terminal of the receiving car first, etc...).
